At Metropolitan Social Housing we are committed to developing a collaborative process that brings together design, construction and the financial sector to deliver affordable housing to all sectors of our community who do not have access to funds or income levels that can achieve home ownership in the traditional manner. If you are an architect, a construction contractor or a financial sector professional we want to work with you to deliver for London and the UK.

Designing the project

Right design leads to efficient construction and cost. We aim to 'modularise' design for volume housing to maximise efficiency in procurement and build process. Each project will have its own identity, its unique response to the local built environment. We aim for award winning design coupled with modularised internal layouts.

Delivering the project

Collaboration between designers and contractors delivers the most cost and time effective projects. We would like to hear from main contractors who are willing to engage in new collaborative process that ensure cost certainty on the build process while also being able to deliver on quality and programme.

Funding the project

Disruptive design and delivery models need disruptive financial systems to deliver. We would welcome the opportunity to work with alternative funders to deliver social housing at cost and on a repeat basis.
